Intelligence capabilities progress supra-linearly, in a jumpy manner. *Average person UX, such as animations to mask slow responses or those that are just there to delight, accumulate in a linear fashion. The result is that the more one tries to do with the advancing capabilities, the more one has to actively strip out the one-size-fit-all affordances there to make the capabilities palatable to the average person.

*Average person = the normative profile of an average user that mass market products optimise for but who doesn’t actually exist.
