Space and time are better organising hooks for information than semantics, provided the information has already entered one’s attention stream above a minimal threshold. This could be due to the sophistication of tooling and instruments; maybe we just haven’t cracked semantic networks in a scalable way. But I suspect that it’s actually just a feature of our biology and embodied memory processes.
